Community Care Connections of Buckhannon
(Substance Use Disorder Treatment)
Community Care’s Addiction Recovery Program offers a comprehensive outpatient treatment program lead by our Director of Addiction and Recovery, Board Certified Addiction Specialist Dr. Benjamin Jackson. Services focus on the individual needs of the patients using therapy, case management and peer support as well as medically assisted treatment (MAT) when appropriate using Suboxone and Vivitrol.
In 2019, the addiction program was launched as part of the behavioral health department to address the unmet SUD treatment needs of CCWV’s service area. Our addiction program is located at the Community Care Connections Buckhannon location. In our program the treatment team works with each patient to determine the level of care needed and a master care plan is developed for treatment which includes a holistic approach addressing chronic care, mental health, addiction treatment, recovery support and social barriers. The program accepts appointments and walk-ins and requires patients to adhere to program guidelines and attend therapy sessions.
In addition, CCWV works with Community Partners through our Rural Communities Opiate Response Program (RCORP). This coalition consists of a multi sector group of organizations that work to address prevention, treatment, and long-term recovery. For more information on that project please go to https://www.ncwvcor.com.

We also have on staff Peer Recovery Support Specialists (PRSS), who have the opportunity to share their stories
with patients and assist them on a more personal level during their recovery.

We are currently partnered with Upshur County Schools in providing services to their PALS program. The program is to help students who have misused substances, and allow them the opportunity to get ahead of the curve and start them in early recovery. The program provides limited class sizes, as well as therapy opportunities. As the program develops, we look to expand into other schools and counties within our service area.
