About Richard Simon

Richard G. Simon is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Community Care of West Virginia, Inc.

A native of central West Virginia, Simon graduated from Glenville State College with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree from East Carolina University.  Following many years in higher education, at Glenville State College, Mississippi State University and North Carolina Wesleyan, Simon worked for PriceWaterhouse. Returning to West Virginia, Simon joined Community Care of West Virginia, then known as Tri-County Health Clinic.

​Now, more than twenty five years later, Simon serves as CEO. Under his tenure, CCWV has grown from one location in Upshur County, to its current status with 16 medical centers,  seven CCWV-owned pharmacies, one dental clinic and 51 school-based health center sites.
