About Kimberly R. Becher, MD
Kimberly R. Becher, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer for Community Care of West Virginia, Inc.
Dr. Becher joined Community Care in August 2014, as a family medicine practitioner at the organization’s Clay health center. She grew up in West Virginia and received her medical degree from Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine in 2011, where she also completed her family medicine residency and served as one of the department’s chief residents. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in biology from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, in 2002. Between her undergraduate studies and medical school, she carried out breast and colon cancer research at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Becher was awarded the 2016 Outstanding Rural Health Provider by the WV Rural Health Association. She served as the student and resident member of the West Virginia Academy of Family Physicians Board of Directors and as a member of the chapter’s Legislation and Government Affairs Committee. She continues to be involved with the WVAFP and received the WV Family Doc of the Year award in 2022. Following eight years of family practice leadership at Community Care, Dr. Becher was appointed Chief Medical Officer in August 2022. |
