General Maintenance/Repair Worker (Big Otter/Clay/Flatwoods)
Position Title:  General Maintenance/Repair Worker
Reports To:  Project Safety Coordinator
Location: Big Otter, Clay, and Flatwoods
Work Hours: 40 hours a week

Job Summary
The General Maintenance and Repair Worker works as part of the CCWV facilities team under the direction and guidance of the Project/Safety Coordinator, sharing responsibility for the various tasks related to building maintenance and general operations.  The General Maintenance and Repair Worker carries out general repairs, light maintenance, landscaping and property upkeep, and will assist the Project/Safety Coordinator as necessary in various duties including aspects of employee safety and coordination of emergency responses.  Travel between CCWV’s locations is required.
 
Responsibilities and Essential Duties
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance on a daily, as needed, basis including addressing any lighting, plumbing, and related facility needs.
  • Perform landscaping and upkeep, including grass cutting and snow removal.
  • Maintain landscaping equipment, including annual oil changes and upkeep of riding mower(s), push mower(s), weed eaters, and 4 wheeler(s).
  • Assist housekeeping staff in housekeeping duties as necessary to supplement coverage needs.
  • Administer the collection and disposal of medical/hazardous waste.
  • Vent sprinkler system monthly, or as needed.
  • Maintain septic tanks, performing a weekly status check on pumps, ps/chlorine tests, and drain as appropriate on a three (3) month schedule.
  • Perform monthly fire extinguisher inspections.
  • Maintain furnaces, including performing daily and weekly status checks and monthly and annual filter changes as appropriate.
  • Maintain the generators, including performing status checks, filter changes, oil and other fluid changes as appropriate.
  • Coordinate key management, providing and collecting keys from CCWV employees as appropriate.
  • Coordinate alarm code management, administering alarm codes as appropriate and serving as the first point of response for maintenance, repair.
  • Coordinate facility supply orders on a regular basis and assist with any other supplies ordered by the Purchasing Coordinator as needed.
  • Assist with CCWV’s delivery and setup needs to CCWV’s many locations for any equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Possess strong organizational skills
  • Able to work collectively with the administrative team.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Will be required to travel to other CCWV work locations
 
Education/Training/Experience
  • High school diploma
  • Familiarity with a wide range of equipment and tools and proficiency in maintenance and repair tasks.

Custodian (part-time/Marltinton)
Position Title:  Custodian
Reports To:  Office Manager/Safety Coordinator
Location: Marlinton
Work Hours: Part-Time
  
Job Objective
Performs custodial duties and minor repairs. Assists in sanitation control and checks safety hazards. Maintain a clean working environment for all staff, patients and visitors. Ensure all areas are safe and free from hazards.
 
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Curtains in exam rooms-need washed at least once a year, but check them daily for blood and stains.
  • Entrance door should be cleaned multiple times daily.
  • Waiting room- needs cleaned daily by dusting, sanitize and sweeping.
  • Reception office- needs cleaned daily by dusting and sanitizing phones.
  • Exam rooms- sanitize sinks, wipe door knobs, exam tables, counter tops and ear, nose and throat probe base, raise the back of the exam table and clean.
  • Restrooms- needs cleaned daily by sanitizing bowl in and out side the base, check the walls for foreign substances and wipe base boards and sink area multiple times daily.
  • Kitchen area-needs cleaned daily by sanitizing sink, tables, refrigerator and microwave.
  • Clean grounds and parking lots of litter, glass, or other debris.
  • Shampoo, clean, mop, wash, and vacuum floors as directed.
  • Empty trash multiple times daily.
  • Mop all floors daily (use appropriate safety equipment and signs).
  • Maintain outside walk areas including sweeping debris and washing walkways.
  • Track the use of cleaning supplies and report a list of needed materials to appropriate staff.
  • Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirrors, and fixtures using both step and extension ladders.
  • Scrubs, strips, sanitizes, waxes, and buffs floors using powered machines equipped with rotating brushes.
  • Dusts such items as blinds, furniture, file cabinets, and windowsills using treated dust mittens, cloths, or hand-cleaning items.
  • Polishes furniture, metal work, and chrome using appropriate cleaning and polishing compounds.
  • Remove stock from patient room storage areas and sanitize the storage area. Return all stock to appropriate locations within the cabinet.
  • Clean ceiling fans/light covers monthly.
  • Monitor soap, toilet paper, towel usage throughout the day and replacing when necessary.
  • Check and shred contents of shred box several times throughout the day.
  • Clean and sanitize patient areas.
  • Keeps basement/crawl space/attic areas neat and orderly (if applicable).
  • May perform ground maintenance including removal of snow from sidewalks, salting walkways, mowing small areas of grass at an office site.
  • Report major needs for repairs to the Project/Safety Coordinator.  
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education, Knowledge and Skills
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate
