​Dental Hygienist (Green Bank)
Position: Dental Hygienist
Position Type: Full-time and Part-Time
Location: Green Bank
Salary: Based on qualifications

Job Objective:
Clean teeth and examine oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. May educate patients on oral hygiene, take and process x-rays, or apply fluoride or sealants.   

Position Responsibilities/ Essential Duties:
  • Clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums, using dental instruments.
  • Carry out Dentists orders accurately, directly and indirectly.
  • Assist in the evaluation of the effectiveness of the dental care administered relative to the patient/ significant other identified problem/needs.
  • Provide postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist.
  • Apply fluorides and other cavity preventing agents to arrest dental decay.
  • Assist dentist in management of medical and dental emergencies.
  • Expose and process x-rays.
  • Provide clinical services and health education to improve and maintain oral health of school children.
  • Feel lymph nodes under patient’s chin to detect swelling or tenderness that could indicate presence of oral cancer.
  • Examine gums, using probes, to locate periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease.
  • Perform delegated independent dental assisting functions using established procedures, policies, guidelines, and standards.
  • Document pertinent observation and intervention on appropriate record.
  • Maintain and coordinate communication among patient/significant other, staff, and dentist as evidenced within medical record, patient, and health care team feedback.
  • Effectively communicate patients changing needs and plan of care among staff members.
  • Report patient needs/problems and observations regarding patient’s condition to the charge nurse/physician.

Education:
  • Bachelor degree in in Dental Hygiene having

Experience:
  • One year experience working as Dental Hygienist is preferred.

dental receptionist (Green bank)
Position Title: Dental Receptionist
Reports To: Office Manager
Position: Full-Time
Location: Green Bank
Salary: Based upon qualifications
 
Job Objective:
Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, directing calls to appropriate associates, flow of correspondence, flow of patients, perform check-in and check-out responsibilities as well as additional clerical duties.
 
Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
  • Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
  • Provides callers with information such as company address, directions to company location, company fax numbers, company website, and other related information.
  • Prior to new patient arrival, will mail New Patient Packet to the address on file. Upon patient arrival, performs a complete and accurate registration in Athena using the information from the New Patient Packet.
  • Completes full patient check-in and check-out processes based on established Athena procedures.
  • At each patient check-in, verifies insurance and selects the correct insurance from Athena’s pre-populated system.
  • Generates appropriate workers’ compensation paperwork and patient document requests based on patient need.
  • Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, credit card and check machines, phone systems and other software applications.
  • Greets patients in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner.
  • Handle patient/visitor inquiries and directs them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
  • Enter/update patient demographic/insurance information into electronic health record.
  • Collects insurance co-payments, as appropriate.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet clinic needs.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Possess strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Able to work collectively with the administrative team associates.
  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • May be required to travel to other CCWV work locations to provide coverage.
  • Work schedule may change based on patient demand.
 
Education/Training/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience as a receptionist in dental or medical practice and/or hospital reception preferred.
