AR Group Rules

Group Rules

MAT Groups consist of individuals in Medication Assisted Treatment who gather to listen and provide hope for recovery from each other. Treatment Providers incorporate educational components into group processes to aid in the recovery and growth of each participant.

Engaging in communication with individuals of both similar and different backgrounds and life experiences provides many benefits during the journey of recovery. Below are some of the benefits a participant gains from becoming involved in MAT groups:

  • Relationship building in the community

  • Improvement in the quality of life

  • Wellness and increased satisfaction with health status

  • Improvement in coping skills

  • Acceptance of illness/situation

  • Improvement in compliance

Additionally, groups can offer the participant the opportunity to:

  • Share knowledge and experiences, and provide strength, hope and support in addressing issues related to the process of recovery from the disease of chemical dependency and/or mental health.

  • Engage with education content for group discussion and collaboration.
