Community Care Connections
Behavioral Health
In 2017, Community Care established a Behavioral Health Program, led by Kevin Junkins, MD, General Psychiatrist and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Based in Bridgeport, the program was established to work hand-in-hand with the Pain Management Program, as well as providing behavioral and mental health services to CCWV patients.
Clinical staff includes psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, physician assistants, licensed social workers, and case managers. Their goal is to work with other CCWV programs to provide whole health care for our patients.
Launching in 2018, as a part of the Behavioral Health Program and in conjunction with our School-Based Health Program, Community Care Connections works specifically with county school systems to provide much needed services to students. The first program was established in Braxton County. As the program develops, it will be expanded to remaining counties in the CCWV service area.
In 2019, an office for Behavioral Health services opened in Weston, just off Interstate 79.
Our state-of-the-art Electronic Health Record (EHR) gives our Behavioral Health staff access to your records, while protecting that information from other Community Care departments.
Patients may also text Community Care/CareXpress health centers when unable to reach via telephone. Simply text your message to 304-471-2240 and a representative will respond as appropriate either via text, telephone, or email. In 2017, Community Care established a Behavioral Health Program, led by Kevin Junkins, MD, General Psychiatrist and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.
